Does social class and culture matter in a family? Do these things matter in terms of accomplishing the purposes of family?
I think these things have an effect on the family but it's not everything. If you don't have a lot of money you may not be able to meet all of the needs of everyone in your family. But I don't think that in raising a family social class matters. Even if you are rich or poor you still have love, friendship, caring, and I think that if you nourish a family and nurture it, it will grow together.

Family Systems
This week was very interesting. I really liked the material we covered in class. I learned a lot and actually have applied some of the things I learned. We learned about systems in a family. That each person has a role in the family, and the family has rules. As we talked about the rules I thought about the rules in my family. A few rules were there was an expected curfew and one unspoken rule was we as kids couldn't double ask. For example if we asked mom to go play and she said no we couldn't go ask our dad. We also learned about symbolic interaction, and exchange. I also learned how to map my family. Awesome week! :)
